For the foundations of single-family homes and low-rise apartment buildings (up to 4 stories), we always use the “Remo-radier” foundation system, which we developed and patented. This foundation method is ideally suited for soils with low bearing capacity and/or raised ground levels, and allows us to determine the cost precisely in advance.
Compared to a traditional foundation using steel and underground masonry, the cost is approximately 15% higher; however, the system offers significantly greater rigidity, results in much less settlement, and provides excellent thermal floor insulation due to the presence of 30-cm-thick polystyrene (Isomo) blocks beneath the structural concrete slab.
Furthermore, the construction time is extremely short: a maximum of five business days for homes up to 150 m².
